Rising Girl Hikes

Step away from screens, unplug from school and peer pressure, and enjoy being free in nature. Experience the Seven Sisters cliffs on a guided walk, created especially for girls aged 9-14. We start at Cuckmere and finish at Birling Gap. The route includes planned stops for group activities and inspiring stories about trailblazing women who challenge injustice, protect communities, and achieve change and great things.

Led by Dr. Felicity Butler, founder of Seven Sisters Rising, this walk is about more than fresh air and exercise. It’s about connection, courage, and discovering your own strength.

Testimonials

Autumn
The Rising Girl Hike was so fun, and we had a blast! We learned about women in the past who did amazing things. I am so excited for our next adventure. I am so inspired by all these women. It was amazing we didn’t just learn, we played lots and did a human pyramid, we climbed stuff and ran down lots of hills. I loved this sooo much. You are doing an amazing thing and I am supporting you in every way. 5 stars!

Tabi

I liked that when we listened to stories, we had to reflect on what we learnt. I liked that we didn’t just have to summarise what we heard [like in school] but that we could write about things related to our life and the women in the stories. I also liked that we could chat to our friends, so we can socialise and learn at the same time. I also really liked that we could draw as this boosted our creativity. And I really liked how strongly Fliss [Felicity] has worked for this to happen! I don’t think anything could be improved. 5 stars!
